The Senior Accountant is an integral part of our Finance team based out of our US - Teaneck, NJ site.


Position Details

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the financial close and timely and accurate GAAP and Management reporting for the US Manufacturing business unit of the company. The role interacts with various Business Unit Controllers; Manufacturing Sites Finance Managers and Corporate Finance group.

Key Responsibilities

Timely and accurate processing of journal entries and accruals
Reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts, including inventory, accounts receivable, prepaid accounts, intercompany and others.
Prepare reconciliation of GAAP to Management results, as needed
Prepare/review forecasts and budget financial data load in the company’s systems, as needed, in a timely manner.
Preparation of the monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet for one Business unit
Provide qualitative Flux Analysis of financial statements, such as income statement, balance sheet, and provide explanations on variances against budget and prior year, including sales, gross margin, and SG&A for two business units.
Assist in the documentation and maintenance of internal controls as required by Sarbanes Oxley
Prepare supporting documentation for the external auditors and tax consultants on an annual basis.
Support the development of the annual budget and monthly forecast.

Education & Experience
Undergraduate degree in accounting
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, Big 4 or public/private mix
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”).
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Experience with JD Edwards is a plus
Experience in the manufacturing environment is preferred
