San Carlo Homes for the Aged Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation, leading aged care provider in Victoria providing accommodation for elderly Italians who are no longer able to manage in their own homes.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to work on a part time bases.

Role Description

You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation. Duties and responsibilities as listed below: -

Financial Reporting

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports;
Perform regular reconciliations to all accounts listed in the chart of accounts;
Support year-end audit process;
Assisting with bank and credit cards reconciliations.
Accounting Activities

Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, suppliers management, payment runs, and reconciliations;
Conduct accounting tasks in accordance with organisation’s policies and procedures, legislative and reporting requirements;
Maintain accurate financial records;
Ad-hoc responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills

Tertiary education in accounting;
Experience in Inerva software is beneficial;
Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills;
Ability to meet strict deadlines;
Great problem-solving skills and take initiative;
Thrives in a collaborative team environment while confidently taking ownership and working independently when needed;
Excellent time management skills.
