At Emeritus Research, we’re advancing clinical trials that shape the future of medicine—and we’re looking for a Revenue Accountant to help keep our financial operations as precise and innovative as our science.

We have a nimble approach to trial implementation, whilst ensuring safety and quality are delivered in our services.

What a typical day would look like:

Start your day reconciling bank accounts and following up on invoices to keep collections smooth. Then it’s onto preparing RCTIs and reviewing billing details with the trial team. You’ll handle month-end revenue tasks, check contracts for favourable terms, and ensure everything aligns with AASB 15. Throughout the day, you’ll support the finance team and help keep our clinical trials financially on track.

As part of this role you’ll also:  

Drive timely collections through smart credit control and responsive invoicing
Prepare month-end invoices, weekly RCTIs, and ad-hoc invoice requests
Own month-end and year-end close with revenue accruals and reconciliations
Strengthen revenue policies and controls to ensure compliance with AASB 15
Review sponsor contracts to secure favourable terms for our research teams
Collaborate on CTMS (Clinibase) builds to ensure accurate trial billing
Reconcile bank accounts daily with precision
Assist the finance team with routine accounting tasks and reporting
Be a great team player, willing to learn and be able to support your team

What you’ll need to succeed:

Accounting degree or be an exceptional candidate with relevant experience
Confident with MS Office, especially Excel and keen to learn new systems (Xero experience a plus)
Solid grasp of AASB 15 and financial compliance
Solid credit control experience
Strong organisational skills and deadline focus
Excellent record-keeping and attention to detail
Great communicator across teams and stakeholders
Strong admin, numeracy, written and communication skills
Team player who can also work independently
