Job Description:
The Technician – Mechanical will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance, reliability, and operational efficiency of mechanical systems onboard boats. This position requires hands-on experience in mechanical servicing, dry dock operations, and post-delivery performance monitoring. The technician will be responsible for regular inspections, repair supervision, and collaborating with other technical teams to ensure smooth vessel operations and safety. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in marine or industrial mechanical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Mechanical Maintenance: Carry out regular mechanical servicing and preventive maintenance for boats and onboard systems.
• Post-Delivery Monitoring: Closely monitor boat performance after delivery and proactively resolve any mechanical issues.
• Dry Dock Repairs: Plan and supervise dry dock repair activities, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
• Crew Training & Support: Provide practical training to onboard crew for proper handling and upkeep of mechanical systems.
• Workshop Operations: Manage and participate in workshop activities, ensuring all equipment is functional and well-maintained.
• Parts & Inventory Management: Identify faulty parts, manage replacement requirements, and maintain mechanical inventory.
• Inspection & Troubleshooting: Conduct periodic inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Support the electrical maintenance team and ensure coordinated technical operations across departments.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of maintenance work, part replacements, and equipment performance.

Requirements:
• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in marine or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of boat mechanical systems, engines, pumps, and dry dock procedures.
• Ability to perform hands-on repairs and guide others in technical procedures.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel for on-site visits and inspections.

Salary Offered: ₹20,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 per month
