Team Leader (Maternity Leave Cover – 6 Months)

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join a well-established early childhood centre in the North Shore on a 6-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, starting from August 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident ECE teacher who is ready to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support a team of educators in delivering high-quality learning experiences
Maintain a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment for children and whānau
Oversee daily routines, planning, documentation, and programme delivery
Foster strong relationships with families, staff, and the wider community
Ensure compliance with ECE regulations and centre policies
Contribute to professional development and team growth
About You:

Hold a New Zealand-recognised ECE qualification (Level 7 preferred)
Full or provisional NZ teacher registration
Proven experience in a leadership or senior teacher role
Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident in supporting and mentoring a team
