Description:
Are you a seasoned accounting professional ready to lead and influence at the next level? Hydraulink Fluid Connectors Ltd is on the hunt for a Company Accountant who brings not only deep financial expertise but proven experience leading high-performing teams.

About the Role

This is more than a technical accounting position. You’ll be a key finance leader working closely with our CFO, responsible for delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting, managing group cash flow, and supporting strategic budgeting and forecasting. You’ll also be the people leader for our New Zealand finance team, directly managing and helping drive operational success across the business.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead monthly management reporting, financial analysis, and board reporting.
Manage group cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure.
Oversee compliance with tax regulations (GST, FBT, RWT, Income Tax).
Maintain intercompany accounts and foreign currency transactions.
Drive process improvement and innovation across financial processes and systems.
Provide mentorship, support, and guidance to the finance team.

What You’ll Bring

5+ years in a senior accounting role (Company Accountant or equivalent).
CA or equivalent accounting qualification.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing finance teams.
Strong knowledge of NZ tax, financial reporting, budgeting, and treasury.
Advanced Excel skills; Power BI/financial modelling experience is a plus.
Exposure to import, warehousing, and distribution operations.
A hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
