About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Business Analyst (BA) with deep expertise in Game Design Documentation (GDD) to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about games and skilled at translating complex game concepts and mechanics into detailed, actionable, and effective design documents that guide the entire development process.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of game development, with the ability to work across various genres and platforms, ensuring player engagement and strong retention strategies.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive Game Design Documents (GDDs) for various game types and genres.
• Document detailed game mechanics, progression systems, levels, challenges, and platform-specific requirements.
• Ensure all GDDs are clear, detailed, and accurate throughout the development cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — designers, developers, project managers — to align on the game vision.
• Use data analytics to track player behavior, identify trends, and propose design improvements to boost engagement and retention.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in game development or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering detailed, clear, and user-friendly GDDs for various genres (RPG, mobile, casual, competitive).
• Deep understanding of game mechanics, level design, progression systems, monetization, and retention strategies.
• Familiarity with game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
• Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, and wireframing/prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex game elements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate game mechanics and optimize user engagement.

Pay: ₹494,571.23 - ₹1,179,974.93 per year
