How you'll make an impact

An awesome opportunity exists within Xero's Accounting team for someone looking to take the next step in their career. You will be required to obtain a thorough understanding of the Xero business environment and will assist in ensuring Xero meets the accounting and reporting requirements that arise by virtue of being a listed issuer. You will build strong relationships throughout the business and become a trusted advisor to the Finance team and the business in general.
What you'll do
Own the daily administration and accounting of Xero's employee share schemes, including management of Xero's employee equity platform
Facilitate the grant and vest events associated with the administration of Xero's global employee share scheme, liaising with key stakeholders
Support the accounting of Xero's share-based payment schemes and all employee entitlements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
Completion of month end and half yearly/annual reporting cycles, including processing journals and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of financial information delivered to the market in the form of Xero's interim and annual reports
Establish and maintain strong working relationships throughout the rest of the organisation
Proactively understand and manage risks as they relate to your role

A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in large corporate accounting environments.
Working towards CA qualification (or equivalent) highly regarded.
Intermediate excel/google sheets experience.
