Position Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Denver, CO (remote - must reside in Denver Metro Area)

Salary: $75K - $85K + bonus + benefits

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end closings, and supporting the overall accounting operations to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Perform bank and account reconciliations; record daily cash activity
Prepare sales tax filings for several state and local jurisdictions
Maintain detailed inventory schedules
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and reports
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Contribute to the improvement of financial procedures and processes
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2–3 years of accounting experience; internship or public accounting experience is a plus
Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
Strong analytical and organizational skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:

CPA candidate or certification a plus
Knowledge of ERP systems
Working Conditions:

Standard office hours, Monday through Friday
Occasional overtime during closing periods or audits
Hybrid/remote options available (if applicable)
