About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

The RPAH Ophthalmology Clinic is one of the busiest public health outpatient clinics in NSW. It is run by a dedicated team of Health and Admin professionals with an emphasis on delivering quality patient care. We are seeking a mature minded, experienced Admin professional comfortable with variety, with a passion for end to end accuracy all in a fast paced environment managing competing demands from patients, clinicians and technologies.

Each day is its own rewarding challenge, knowing you are contributing to the well-being of patients sight in a public health setting. We are fast, efficient clinic with a high volume of patients providing access to a range ophthalmology outpatient clinics. We take pride in our work and taking care of each other.

Ideal Candidate

Ability to work Monday to Friday.
Keen eye for detail – accuracy and precision is a must.
A self-starter whom is highly organised, competent with technology and can let issues fall like water off a ducks back – a rewarding and challenging Administration role that is not for the feint of heart.
Organisation and flexibility comes naturally.
Ability to take direction and manage possible competing directions with maturity applying a risk lens and timeliness to directions.
Work in a close knit team in a high performing, high volume outpatient clinic in Australia’s largest hospital.
Must have a naturally buoyant personality, maintain a sense of humour where a smile is the first response to difficult patients and situations.
Proficient with MSO.
Experience with patient booking technologies preferred but must be comfortable learning new IT solutions.
No job is too small – bring a preparedness to do any task required to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
Calm and collected phone manner with a professional email tone of correspondence.
