Our Social Infrastructure and Citizens Services team has an opportunity for Cleaners to join the Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) team located in VIC. You will deliver high-quality cleaning and sanitisation services across the MTM rail network, which includes a fleet of over 460 three-carriage trains that run on a network consisting of 15 lines.

This position involves working unsupervised to provide a high-quality cleaning service. The position involves manual handling and lifting and may require you to stand and/or walk for lengthy periods. You will also be working in varying temperatures and weather conditions, and noisy environments at times due to working near trains.

A number of casual day shift opportunities are available around Melbourne’s Outer suburbs with the opportunity to convert to Part time position within 3 months.

We are looking to fill position in the following areas:

Northeast Area – Upfield, Macleod and Hurstbridge

North Area - Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Mernda and Epping

Southeast Area - Ringwood, Bayswater, Upper Ferntree Gully, Glen Waverley

Bayside – Frankston, Kananook

Central – North Melbourne, Newport

ABOUT YOU

Desire to work in a fast paced, challenging environment, where you will work as part of a high-performance team focused on working safely and diligently.

Having strong Communication and Customer Service skills

Previous Cleaning Experience is preferrable but not essential.

Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card desirable but not necessary

Must have Current National Police Check (within twelve months from date of issue)

Candidates having their own transportation will be prioritized.
