About The Role

Permanent Part-Time

Various Shifts

1pm - 8pm / 3pm - 8pm / 8:30am - 4.30pm

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven therapy assistant to join our Shoreline team.

Location

Shoreline is a state-of-the-art Residential Aged Facility situated in a truly unique location, adjacent to the beach and overlooking picturesque Cockburn Sound. The Facility provides resort lifestyle, and quality care and services for up to 238 residents.

As an integral part of the team, you will:

Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.
Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs.
Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed.
Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
Accompany Resident groups on outings.

Requirements of the role

Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (Desirable but not essential).
Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Have empathy with the elderly.
Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
