Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Pit Technician to join our Technical Support team at our Woodie Operation, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara.

Reporting to the Senior Geologist: Mining, the successful applicants will be required to:

Perform ore spotting duties and associated ROM checks with a focus on quality outcomes to minimize dilution;

Assist with the collection and processing of RC and blast hole sampling and participate in ore mark-outs as required;

Collection/processing/Interpretation of drill samples and maintaining accurate data records;

Work independently as well as part of the Geology and Mining teams, and provide support to the Survey team when required;

Perform all work activities aligned to industry safety standards with associated experience in risk awareness and risk mitigation strategies;

Be self-motivated, proactive, and express a positive can do attitude with a keen interest in pursuing a career in open pit mining;

Skills and Experiences:
Requirements to be successful in this role are:
Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures;

Manual C Class Drivers Licence;

National Police Clearance (No older than 6 months);

Proof of vaccination (Covid-19 Digital certificate PDF document issued by the Australian Government).
