Join Cornad Contracting—a family-owned construction company where teamwork, accountability, and a people-first mindset shape every project. We’re looking for a Site Superintendent to lead on-site execution and help us deliver top-quality commercial builds across Calgary and beyond.
This full-time role is based out of our SE Calgary office, with up to 90% of your time spent on job sites. You’ll report to the Project Manager and play a key part in ensuring each project is built right—on time, on budget, and with safety at the forefront.
What You’ll Do:
Lead On-Site Execution:
Coordinate trades, materials, and equipment to keep the build on track
Schedule and manage daily site operations to meet deadlines and specs

Keep Safety Front and Centre:
Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety policies
Lead by example and make sure every day starts with the right tools and mindset
Keep Projects Moving:
Anticipate and solve problems before they become issues
Ensure materials are on-site and ready before work begins
Stay in sync with the Project Manager and Construction Coordinator
Complete and submit all required site documentation (daily logs, timesheets, permits, etc.)
Obtain necessary building and occupancy permits
Pitch In Where Needed:
Support documentation, drawings, and change orders
Step up for occasional weekend or extended hours if needed
Travel to remote sites (up to 50% of the time)
What You’ll Bring:
Education: Diploma in construction or a trade certification is preferred
Experience: 5–7 years of site supervision experience in commercial construction
Qualifications: Class 5 Alberta driver’s license
Adaptability: Flexibility to travel to different job sites and adapt to dynamic schedules
Owner Mindset:
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organization
Tech Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software (Microsoft Project)
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and construction documents
