Organization & Position Summary

We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collections Clerk to join our Accounting team in our Downtown office. Duties & Responsibilities of Position

Follow up, process, and allocate payments, including credit cards, EFTs, wire transfers, and e-transfers
Review A/R statements and reports
Process and reconcile bank reconciliations and deposits as assigned
Process and reconcile credit card statements
Prepare and organize cheque runs
Upload disbursements from files to accounting systems
Reconciling corporate accounts, trust and general bank statements, and petty cash
Assist in collections
Provide assistance within the department as required

Required and Ideal Qualifications

Completion of accounting program or courses
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting
Proven ability to muti-task/solve complex problems
Proven ability to handle high-volume workloads and prioritizing deadlines
Knowledge of HST/GST/PST requirements
Knowledge of trust accounts and Law Society trust rules is an asset
Experience with Elite is an asset
Experience in Accounts Receivable is an asset
Experience in Collections is an asset
Job Details:

Job Type: Full-time – 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
Additional Pay: Overtime Pay (if required)
