Division: Caneda Transport

Position: Warehouse Operator

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Caneda Transport is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta!

We have a diverse fleet consisting of company trucks, owner-operators, and a network of partner carriers. Responsibilities (not limited to):

Load/unload trailers safely while keeping track of correct piece count and weight and verifying information with paperwork
Notify Dispatcher/Supervisor of any piece count discrepancies, damaged or defective freight
Use appropriate equipment to ensure proper load securement (load bars, straps, plywood, cold walls etc.)
Building and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with operating standards
Label freight accurately
General yard maintenance
Sweeping and cleaning the inside of trailers and cross dock
Communicate and schedule freight for delivery with dispatch and coordinate delivery of products to the end user
Operator material handling equipment such as dollies and pallet jacks
Use computer to track trucks and shipments, print manifests, lead sheets and labels
Represent and comply with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures (COR Certified)
Qualifications:

Forklift License required
Minimum of 2 years forklift experience
Transportation experience is considered an asset
Able to communicate clearly and effectively
Basic computer skills
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
Physical fit and able to lift up to 40lbs
Good team player and can work independently
Reliable and punctual
Occasional evenings and weekends
