Full job description
Job Title: Art Teacher (Weekend position)

Location: Winky Studio, Donaster East, Victoria, Melbourne

Job Type: Contract

Compensation: $30/hour during 10-week probation; $35/hour post-probation

Hours: Saturday 10:30am - 5:30pm with an hour lunch break, sometimes Sundays

Start Date: Late August, Interview start early August

Must: Be able to commit minimum 18 month during Victoria school term, must be fluent in English, hilghly skilled in Japanese Anime style drawing, concept art and use of Procreate on Ipad, Human anatomy skill, realistic sketching and watercolour painting!

About Us:

At Winky Studio, we are passionate about unlocking creativity and imagination in our students through art. We specialize in teaching drawing techniques focusing on cartoon and anime styles. Our classes cater to small groups of 6, ensuring personalized attention and a nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct art classes for groups of 1-6 students.
Prepare lesson plans and provide step-by-step drawing instructions.
Foster a creative and supportive environment for students to develop their artistic skills.
Assess and encourage student progress through constructive feedback.
Qualifications:

Strong drawing skills, particularly in anime and human anatomy sketch and familiarity with digital drawing tools like Procreate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to commit to the role for at least one year.
Must obtain or apply for a Working with Children Check and ABN before commencement.
Prior teaching experience is beneficial but not required, we value base on skill, as training and guidelines will be provided.
