Hairy Hounds Playground is a dog daycare, and enrichment facility known for our passionate team and commitment to the wellbeing of dogs and their people. We’re currently looking for a reliable and friendly front-of-house team member to join us part-time across three days per week.

About the Role

You’ll be the welcoming face of HHPG – greeting our clients (two- and four-legged), managing bookings, and supporting the team with smooth day-to-day operations. Shifts are either early (6.30am–12pm) or afternoon (12pm–7pm), so flexibility is a must.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Checking dogs in and out of daycare, sleepovers, grooming and walking services
Managing bookings and enquiries via phone, email and in person
Educating clients about our services and retail offerings
Communicating with our training, grooming and daycare teams
Maintaining a tidy, organised reception space
Handling dogs confidently – both small and large breeds
Providing high-quality customer service with a calm and friendly approach
What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who loves animals and thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. You’ll need to be organised, proactive and a great communicator.

Ideally you’ll have:

At least 2 years of experience in customer service or the animal industry
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Confidence working with dogs and an understanding of different breeds, health issues, diets and behaviours
A warm, professional manner when speaking with clients – even under pressure
The ability to stay calm with nervous or emotional owners
A love for animals and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Experience in a dog day care, grooming, dog training or veterinary setting is highly regarded.

Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour
