Retail Store Manager – City Convenience Store and Tobacconist

City Convenience Store and Tobacconist, operated by SANAD PTY LTD, is a well-established retail business located in the heart of Perth City. We offer a wide range of convenience products, including groceries, beverages, and tobacco items, serving a diverse and dynamic customer base. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Store Manager to lead our team, oversee daily store operations, and drive sustained business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of store operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and a positive customer experience.
Lead, supervise, and support a team of retail staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
Develop and implement sales strategies aimed at increasing revenue and achieving business targets.
Oversee stock ordering, inventory control, and stock rotation to reduce shortages and waste.
Ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations, including those related to tobacco sales and licensing.
Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, cash flow, and daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and supply terms.
Implement and uphold workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Deliver high-quality customer service and handle customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a retail management role, preferably in a convenience store or tobacconist setting.
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
Proficiency in stock management, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Proven understanding of effective retail sales strategies and customer engagement.
Solid knowledge of tobacco retail regulations and compliance requirements.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-traffic retail environment.
