General Plumber

Due to the continued growth of the company over the last few years, SGS are currently looking to recruit a qualified Plumber to join a well-established and growing local company.

SGS Heating & Electrical is a well-established heating, plumbing & electrical company based in Salisbury, Wiltshire. We specialise in natural gas, LPG, oil and electric heating installation, servicing and maintenance as well as general plumbing, bathroom installations, electrical testing and renewable installations across Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset.

The role sits primarily within our Service Department and would be extremely varied, but the key tasks would include:
• Reactive and planned maintenance.
• Fault finding and diagnostics.
• Installing or maintaining heating systems.
• Repairing sanitation systems.
• Installing domestic appliances such as washing machines.
• Installing bathrooms.
• Emergency plumbing repairs.

Key qualifications and requirements would include:

3+ years’ experience of general plumbing.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
Unvented G3 qualification desirable but training can be provided.
Strong attention to detail is essential.
Good communication skills with the ability to work alongside others.
Used to working to a program of works and to deadlines.
Organised with the ability to prioritise own workload and work proactively.
Valid, clean UK drivers’ licence.
Experience working in customer-occupied properties and dealing with customers.
Willingness to work within in a 24/7 call out service (additional payments to be made).
