Our current Finance Operations Team Lead is embarking on an exciting internal secondment with our Transformation team and we now have an opportunity for an experienced finance team leader to join us on a fixed-term basis.
About the role
Lead a team of onshore Finance Operations Officers responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Banking reconciliation activities.
Work collaboratively with our off- shore partner to ensure effective and efficient delivery of business outcomes.
Ensure effective workflow management
Undertake regular coaching and feedback conversations with the team
Organise training sessions for cross functional upskilling to support an agile, responsive and flexible team
Undertake daily review and monitoring of key performance metrics, supporting the team to meet targets.
Undertake regular review and monitoring of Standard Operating Procedures and record updates of improvements implemented
Promote a continuous improvement culture whilst identifying improvement opportunities including systems enhancements.
Build internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Resolve complex queries, exceptions and escalations
Payment Approvals based on authority levels
Debtors and revenue analysis, debt reduction
Collaborate with Business Improvement Lead for implementing process improvements
Collaborate closely with the Finance Operations Manager to ensure consistent processes are applied and adhered to
About You
Proven team leadership experience
Existing subject matter expertise of Finance Operations in a high-volume, complex environment.
Extensive experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Payable & Banking Reconciliation processes.
Experience in working autonomously and be a self- starter.
In-depth understanding of system and software applications for Receivables/ Billing/ Payables/ Bank Reconciliation.
Strong customer focus.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in managing offshore business partner relationships would be useful
