Job Description

Job description
About PENDA Productions
PENDA Productions is a leading visual content agency serving clients across the mining, industrial, and energy sectors. We specialize in high-stakes storytelling—delivering cinematic-quality videos and photography from some of the most remote and challenging environments across North America and beyond.
We don’t just shoot content—we embed with operations, go underground, climb haul trucks, and capture the stories that power industries. We're not afraid to get dirty, think fast, and deliver sharp.

Job Overview
We’re looking for a battle-ready Videographer who thrives in high-pressure, high-mobility environments—from underground mine sites to boardrooms. This is not a studio gig. You'll be boots on the ground, often in steel-toed boots and a hard hat, working alongside machine operators, engineers, and executives alike.

You’ll be expected to own the full video process—from pre-production and field shooting to editing, asset management, and client delivery. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands how to tell powerful stories through precise visuals and who thrives in fast-moving, industrial environments.

This job will start with a fixed term contract with potential to turn full-time.

Key Responsibilities:
Field Production
• Operate professional-grade cameras, lighting, drones, and audio equipment on location—often in extreme conditions (underground, remote, dusty, noisy)
• Execute advanced shooting techniques, ensuring visually compelling and technically excellent footage
• Work independently and as part of a team on site-based shoots
• Assist senior crew on large productions (camera ops, gaffer, PA, etc.)

Post-Production
• Edit footage into polished deliverables using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other tools
• Enhance content with color grading, sound design, graphics, and animation
• Manage quick-turn edits and client revisions while maintaining creative quality
• Collaborate with editors, animators, and specialists as needed

Logistics & Asset Management
• Maintain, transport, and securely store production equipment
• Manage video/photo archives: labeling, organizing, uploading to our asset platform (PAM)
• Tag and rate content for internal use and client access

Client & Internal Team Work
• Represent PENDA professionally onsite—from field crews to executive teams
• Offer creative input in project development meetings
• Contribute to company marketing, strategy, and business development sessions

Requirements
• Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
• Valid Canadian passport – international travel required
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Physically and mentally prepared to film in underground mining environments and remote job sites
• Willing to complete site-specific safety and certification training (PPE, mine entry, WHMIS, etc.)
• Familiarity with ATA Carnets (asset)
• Proficiency in professional video production equipment and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong ability to manage time, equipment, and assets in fast-paced production cycles

Nice to Have
• Experience filming in mining, industrial, construction, or energy environments
• Drone operation certification
• Still photography skills
• Motion graphics/animation experience
• Bilingual (English/French or English/Spanish)

What You’ll Get
• Remote work and competitive pay
• Regular travel to active industrial and mining operations across North America
• Creative freedom within a trusted, specialized team
• Access to advanced tools, gear, and real-world storytelling opportunities
• A mission-driven company that values creative work with real-world impact

• A brief summary of your experience in video production, especially in rugged or industrial settings
