Job Description

Job description
At Norwich, we foster a culture of creative exploration that bridges traditional craftsmanship with digital innovation and emerging technologies. Our workshops and technical facilities are designed to support students as they experiment, develop, and succeed in their creative ambitions.

We are seeking a technically skilled and creatively driven individual to join our Fabrication Technical Team. In this role, you will work closely with students—primarily from our Architecture and Interior Design programmes—guiding them using 3D CAD software, digital fabrication tools, and model making techniques. Your support will be instrumental in helping students bring their design ideas to life, whether through digital workflows or hands-on making.

You will play a key role in developing students’ technical confidence and creative outcomes, offering one-to-one guidance and fostering a supportive learning environment. While your primary focus will be on architecture and interior design, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with students across a range of creative disciplines, contributing to a vibrant and interdisciplinary community.

We are looking for someone with experience in design and modelling software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Cloud. A strong background in model making—both traditional and digital—is essential, along with a passion for creative education and a desire to empower students. If you are collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning, we would love to hear from you.

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, where your technical expertise and creative insight will help shape the next generation of designers and makers.

Salary: From £16,005 to £16,757 per annum, Pro-rated from a full-time equivalent salary of £25,733 to £26,942 per annum
