Produce Department Lead/Management Role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our New World Northwood Produce team in permanent position working 45 hours per week.

About us and what we offer:

This is a full-time position as the leader of our Produce department, working alongside our Produce team, you will help shape the department operations by delegating tasks, training staff and giving feedback.

Your day to day:

Meeting all weekly operational and financial KPI’s
Leading the department team with daily direction and development
Driving strategic direction for the department aligned with the store and banner
Ability to improve the department merchandising standards and maintain to a high level
Leading department stocktake requirements
Customer focused to deliver an amazing in store experience
Stock replenishment and inventory management
Adhering to all food safety standards
What we need from you:

Relevant experience in a retail environment or similar leadership experience.
Outstanding people skills - you will spend a lot of your time interacting with your team and customers.
A great work ethic – hard work and hustle is a requirement for this role!
A willingness and openness to learn new skills and processes
The ability to work independently and self-manage
The ability to work quickly and efficiently while managing your own workload – organisation and prioritisation skills are important here!
Excellent customer service skills
Flexibility to help from time to time with extra hours/shifts
Good physical fitness for lifting and moving stock around
Great presentation skills and attention to detail
