Join our Team at Westmead Hospital & be part of a leading health & research precinct, now expanding into one of Australia’s largest medical hubs.

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Position Classification: Wardsperson
Remuneration: $59,579.05 - $59,996.48 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: Westmead

Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
Orderlies undertake transportation of patients, documents, equipment, specimens etc as well as provide assistance to direct patient care.

Selection Criteria:

Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and managers.
Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Infection control principles
Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and physically challenging position/workload.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to read and write in English.
Ability to use electronic devices as part of the Orderly Department’s tasking system
Ability to complete tasks either in a team environment or unsupervised all within a measurable timeframe
