We are looking for security guards to work in the retail sector. As a member of the GardaWorld team your primary role is to ensure the safety and security of client assets tenants and visitors to the assignment area in a professional and courteous manner.
What youll be doing
• Perform patrols on foot by bicycle and by car
• Provide excellent customer service to everyone on the property
• Work closely with the mall services as well as with the emergency services when appropriate
• Assist visitors guests and the renters staff with respect to safety requests for directions escorts package transportation lost vehicles etc.
• Apply property rules and regulations in a fair and responsible manner
• Write daily and incident reports
• Intervene during medical emergencies and provide first aid
• Be prepared to respond to situations of crime urgency and disturbance occurring at the mall
• Facilitate access to authorized persons to restricted areas
• Direct car traffic on the property if necessary
• Monitor closed circuit cameras (if applicable) to ensure proper operation of the shopping center
• Answer and follow up on phone calls received by the security service
• Monitor the fire alarm system and fire extinguisher system

What were looking for
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of a valid provincial security guard licence(Dont have a licence Register now to one of our trainings offered by our Campus
• First aid and CPR certification
• Availability to work rotating shifts
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Available to work shift work including weekends and overnight as required
• Ability to exercise sound judgment under stressful situations
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment
• Knowledge of criminal provincial and federal laws as they pertain to the security industry
