Full job description
To serve as a key member of the Front of House team, delivering exceptional hospitality and ensuring a seamless guest experience in a high-end dining environment. They play a critical role in enhancing the service journey and creating lasting impressions for guests.

Key Accountabilities:
Arrive promptly and well-presented in full uniform
Check in with the Restaurant Manager each shift to confirm tasks, timing, and receive detailed instructions
Prepare the restaurant for guests by polishing glassware and cutlery, arranging tables and chairs, placing tablecloths, and setting tables according to standards
Be cordial to all guests, answering questions and directing them appropriately
Take responsibility for the entire department by collecting debris, sweeping exterior entryways, emptying garbage cans, changing light bulbs, and performing other duties to maintain cleanliness
Lift and carry furniture, supplies, floral arrangements, glassware, etc. As needed
Report all broken or damaged property or equipment to a manager promptly
Care for all equipment and supplies by handling them appropriately and replacing them safely after use
Safely and carefully drive a golf cart to transport supplies as directed
Assist in setting and stocking bars, food stations, and beverage stations as required
Protect the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcoholic beverage control policies
Earnestly attempt to accommodate any guest request and accurately communicate them to the Restaurant Manager or Hostess
Demonstrate a sense of urgency while remaining poised during peak periods and seek out additional tasks during slower periods
Communicate core values by demonstrating genuine and thoughtful hospitality in day-to-day duties
Maintain positive relationships within the team and with others, working together towards the common goal of success across the property
Greeting and seating guests, providing menus, and ensuring guests are comfortable
Setting up tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables for the next guests
Assisting servers by delivering food and beverages to tables, refilling drinks, and ensuring timely service
Maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, restrooms, and other public spaces
Assisting with inventory checks, restocking supplies, and ensuring that all necessary items are available
Addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously
Providing information about the menu and specials
Working closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a seamless dining experience
Assisting with the setup and execution of special events, private parties, and other functions
What we would like you to bring to the position:
WHIMIS Certificate (training provided)
Hospitality experience is an asset
Guest Service Excellence: In high-end hospitality, providing outstanding service is crucial. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle guest needs and concerns gracefully are essential.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring everything from the cleanliness of the restaurant to the presentation of food meets high standards requires a keen eye for detail.
Multitasking and Time Management: In a fast-paced environment, being able to juggle multiple tasks—such as assisting servers, maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area, or addressing guest requests—is key to success.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Supporting the restaurant involves coordinating with various team members (servers, chefs, management) to ensure smooth operations.
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is essential for working with both guests and team members, ensuring that information is passed along efficiently and issues are resolved quickly.
