Our Family
We (the parents) are two professionals in our 30s with a gorgeous little baby boy who is 8 months old. He is a very active little guy. He is crawling, pulling himself up on everything he can find and getting up steps! We also have a little cavoodle who is almost 2 years old. He is very friendly.
Your Duties
Key responsibilities Provide attentive care for our child, including feeding, nappy changes, soothing, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness. Engaging our child in fun, educational, and creative activities. Follow a consistent routine for sleep and feeding in consultation with us. Remain contactable at all times and provide updates to us as appropriate during the day. Maintain open and transparent communication with us regarding our son's activities, schedules, development and any issues or concerns as they arise. Be willing to respect our wishes when it comes to caring for our son and take on board constructive feedback. Key qualifications / requirements Must be a female / non-smoker. Must have at least 2 years' experience as a nanny or childcare worker and at least 1-2 years looking after children under 1 years of age. Must have a nurturing and patient attitude with a genuine love for children. Must have a strong command of the English language. Must have a good knowledge of infant care and safe practices, including CPR and baby first-aid. Must have strong organisational skills and attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Must be reliable and trustworthy with a high level of integrity. Must have or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and a Police Check. Must be comfortable having a small cavoodle in the house.
Our Perfect Caregiver
We are seeking a nanny to look after our son on an ongoing, part-time basis from the start of August this year, 2 days per week, 10 hours per day, 8am-6pm. We are flexible in terms of the days that the successful candidate works each week (although they will need to be the same each week). The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised, proactive, kind, nurturing, and capable of multitasking. We would like this individual to fit into our lifestyle and become part of our family and to take genuine joy in watching our little boy grow. We want someone who will be with us for a number of years, so that our son has continuity of care.
