Job title: Financial Controls Accountant
Location: Manchester
Contract type: Permanent

The Role:
The Financial Controls Accountant is responsible for ensuring a robust and effective control environment across all central entities, whilst also supporting continuous improvement activity across global financial projects. The role sits within the Group Finance team based in Manchester, reporting to the Group Financial Controller.
Accountabilities:
Drive and monitor financial controls across all central entities, ensuring standards meet ICFR requirements
Responsible for robust control of all central balance sheets, with clear view on risks and opportunities
Support and drive global finance policy compliance within central entities, including implementation of internal / external audit recommendations
Support the external audit process working with the FSS teams to respond to and resolve queries raised by the external auditors
Support for global financial control projects
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with financial control experience.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex issues, written and verbally, to both finance and non-finance teams alike
Strong IT skillset - SAP experience highly preferable in addition to advanced level in Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work under pressure within deadlines, managing own time and using initiative
