India Transport Limited is looking for 2 permanent full time (30 hours per week) truck drivers for our Class 2 and Class 5 trucks. The business is operating around the Canterbury region, based primarily in Christchurch.

The key responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:

· Driving heavy vehicles.
· Loading and unloading general freight
· Ensuring compliance with vehicle load limits and safety regulations.
· Completing the necessary paperwork as required under legislation and business procedures.
· Delivering goods to specified customers with specified time frame.
· To assist in Loading and unloading trucks.
· Maintaining truck in clean and tidy condition to comply with standard industry requirement.
· Filling logbook daily and handing in a copy on a fortnightly basis to the office.
· Picking up the manifest/paperwork from dispatch for delivery.
Skills and experience required:

· The successful candidate must hold at least a class 2 / 5 driver clean license (or overseas equivalent)
· Ability to work unsupervised.
· Minimum 1 year of relevant experience driving heavy trucks.
· Ability to pass random drug tests.
· Must be available Monday to Sunday for shift work.
· Should be physically fit as job may involve jumping up and down from the truck frequently and heavy lifting.

· References and clean driving record is must.
· This work is for floating unit and driver may require staying overnight or weekend away from home. Company will pay costs.
· Minimum of 30 hours a week. Overtime will be paid as per the base payrate.
· Remuneration ranges from $29 - $32 per hour, depending on experience and skills you bring to the role.
