Job Purpose
Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.


Job Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties:


Design with support from experience designers set up instructions and work orders for execution by the laboratory operators,
Design new tooling for use in the Test Lab.
Complete tests for fixturing validation.
The intern will work full time during the fall months with the option of working part time during the fall and spring semesters.

Knowledge & Skills Summary:

Proficiency with Siemens NX 3-D modeling software required. If the candidate does not have NX experience proficiency in another program such as CATIA, ProE/Creo, Solidworks, or SolidEdge will be considered,
Hands on mechanical aptitude required,
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required,
Experience with hydraulic equipment preferred,
Experience working with data acquisitions systems and PLC’s preferred,

Education and Experience:
We are looking for students in 3rd or 4th year in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
