Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Bill of lading. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Trans-border documentation. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dry bulk. Refrigerated. Tractor-trailer. Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Trip recorder (on-board computer). Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. National. Provincial/territorial. Regional. Short-haul. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border. Willing to travel for extended periods.
