Full job description
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Collision Repair Technician with at least 2 years of practical experience in vehicle body repair. The ideal candidate will be confident in carrying out a wide range of panel beating tasks, from damage assessment to structural repairs and panel finishing.

You’ll be joining a supportive team in a busy, well-equipped workshop where quality work and efficiency are valued.

Key Responsibilities

Talk to customers about vehicle repairs and provide accurate cost estimates
Remove and replace vehicle parts to access damage or allow for spray painting
Align and reshape damaged panels and frames using appropriate tools
Perform structural repairs using chassis machines and 3D measuring systems
Replace damaged vehicle sections and weld new panels as per manufacturer specifications
Carry out rust repairs
Sand and prepare panels for spray painting
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work area
Work collaboratively with estimators, painters, and workshop staff
Skills & Experience Required

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a panel beater or vehicle body repair technician
Solid knowledge of panel alignment, welding, body filler, and chassis repair
Ability to follow manufacturer specifications and repair methods
Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Must have legal rights to work in New Zealand
Formal qualifications (e.g., NZ Certificate Level 4) are an advantage, but not essential.
