Job Summary:

Amazon is advancing generative AI technologies through its AGI team, and they are seeking a Software Development Engineer II to lead a team in developing innovative systems. The role involves collaborating with Applied Scientists and engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy high-volume applications.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for development and maintenance of core modules and services.

• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.

• Will work with scientists and software engineers to evaluate technical feasibility, investigate design approaches and prototype and develop new technology.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
