ECS is seeking a Software Developer to work in our O’Fallon, IL office.
Possesses and applies expertise of developing, creating, and modifying general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. May collaborate directly with customers on requirements gathering and software issues. Assists with software manual creation and maintenance.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000

• Experience writing Java, JavaScript, and SQL or PL/SQL
• Support troubleshooting and diagnostics in both the development and production environments
• Able to review code, perform code reviews and code check-ins to ensure the integrity of commits, builds, etc.
• Ability to learn, understand and refine the capabilities of other developers on the team including ability to mentor and coach intermediate and junior developers with constructive code reviews and code theory discussions
• Good oral and written communications skills to report progress, challenges, blockers, and risks that require escalation to the development manager
