Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer positions offered by Volvo Car USA LLC (Mahwah, New Jersey). Play a crucial leadership role in driving the development and implementation of innovative solutions to support Volvo Cars' global online presence and related services. Leverage deep technical expertise and experience with modern web technologies to guide the team through the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment. What you'll do

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience building, deploying, scaling and monitoring applications with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. Also requires 5 years of experience: applying cloud-native principles and designing, implementing, deploying and managing applications utilizing cloud platforms including AWS or Azure; and designing and implementing applications with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI, for automating builds, testing, and deployments. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated. Also requires 1 year of experience: building scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant microservice-based architectures using Java and the Spring Framework; designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications and RESTful or GraphQL APIs for a high-traffic, globally-accessible website; designing and implementing applications utilizing MongoDB and Cassandra, including data modeling, querying, and optimizing security and performance; implementing load tests, performance tuning, and troubleshooting applications that serve multiple global markets; writing software using GraphQL, including designing and implementing efficient GraphQL APIs for data fetching and querying; building web applications with Javascript or Typescript, including React.js, Next.js or Angular.js; and troubleshooting and optimizing the performance of complex web applications and microservices at scale, including utilizing Elastic Cloud and Prometheus. Position reports to Mahwah, NJ office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

We are offering salary range of $179,982 - $185,000 per year.
