Job Summary:
ARKA Group, LP is an advanced technologies company that serves the U.S. military, intelligence community, and commercial space industry. They are seeking talented junior and mid-level software engineers to develop next-generation signal and image processing software to support defense and intelligence community partners.
Responsibilities:
• Take algorithm definitions and prototypes and convert them into robust software applications that run efficiently on large images and are ready for operational environments. Collaborate with radar/electro-optical and research scientist experts to solve issues and iterate to improve image product quality
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using modern programming languages and technologies. Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
• Build and improve on automated test and verification software and tools
• Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, signals processing, electrical engineering, or related technology fields. (5 years of professional experience in lieu of degree)
• Programming skills in C++, Python, Java, or Rust
• Experience developing in a Linux environment
• Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work within a team environment to advance large software development packages by taking on and completing tasks independently
• Must be willing to work on-site
Preferred:
• Multiple programming languages
• Academic or professional experience in radar or electro-optical fields
• Work in formal software development methodologies (Agile)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Experience writing software implementing algorithms
• Desire to learn new technologies
