Your Role Capgemini is seeking an Android Developer to join Capgemini Financial Services Digital Practice. This is a permanent, full-time position in Sheffield, UK and this represents a unique opportunity for someone to enhance their Digital Consulting careerDesign and develop advanced applications for the Android platform.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Identify and fix bugs, ensuring optimal performance of the application.Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.Participate in troubleshooting and incident response to improve application robustness.Your Profile Experience in working in an agile and DevOps environment.Proficiency in Kotlin and Java with understanding of Android framework and libraries.Experience in Android development tolls such as Android Studio, Gradle and Git.Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, design pattern and best practices.Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON, network framework and third party library integrationExperience in handling performance optimisation, memory management and app security.Good to have knowledge about testing frameworks.Solid understanding of mobile app development life cycle.Hand on experience on Version Control Systems & collaborative development tool.About Capgemini Capgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations to accelerate their dual transition to a digital and sustainable world, while creating tangible impact for enterprises and society.
