The Maronite Sisters Village is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the provision of high quality and continuous improvement across Two residential care facilities in Inner West Area. An opportunity waits for a PERSONAL CARE WORKER (PCW) for both villages reporting to the Director of Nursing.

The position is for someone who has flexible availability with potential to work morning, afternoon, or night and able to work 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

To assist our Residents in their daily care needs like showering, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding and more.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors and other staff of the organisation
Attend to buzzers
To deliver a high standard of care to our residents and maintain quality of life
Have an excellent communication skill and possess high level of documentation
To maintain up to date knowledge on AN-ACC, accreditation process, new practices, and procedures
Report any changes in the residents’ overall condition to the registered nurse on duty
Commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement
1 year of relevant work experience required for this role
Working rights required for this role
Successful applicants will have:
Attained min. Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
Proven experience working in Aged Care
A caring and empathetic manner
Strong attention to detail
Possess computer skills
Excellent time management skills
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Aware of work health and safety and infection control procedures
Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
Applicants must be ready to submit evidence of the following:

Flu Vaccine
COVID-19 Vaccine
Current National Criminal History Record
Job Types: Permanent, Casual

Pay: $33.00 – $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
