Overview
Our client, a successful agricultural entrepreneur and devoted single father, is seeking a dynamic Live-in Nanny/Manny to care for his two energetic boys (ages 5 and 6) and assist with occasional house management and personal assistant duties.
Based between two residences in Quincy and Yakima, Washington, this unique role offers a diverse mix of childcare, light housekeeping, occasional pet care, cooking, and household/PA responsibilities when the children are not in residence.
The boys are with their father every other weekend and are avid fans of the outdoors – fishing, biking, skiing – so an enthusiastic, outdoorsy candidate is a must.
A car is provided, and a valid driver’s licence is required.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Live-in Nanny/Manny in Quincy and Yakima, Washington, USA include:
Childcare (when children are in residence):
Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for two boys aged 5 and 6
Plan and supervise age-appropriate outdoor and educational activities
Support basic homework and creative play
Prepare healthy, balanced meals for the children (and occasionally for the Principal)
Accompany the children on private flights as needed
Manage the children’s weekly schedule including school runs, activities, and playdates
Household support:
Light housekeeping to maintain a tidy, organised home (deep cleans done by external cleaners)
Pet care for two friendly dogs as needed
Grocery shopping and pantry management
Occasional meal preparation for the Principal (e.g., breakfast, smoothies, light dinners)
Oversee and coordinate external service providers (e.g., cleaners, maintenance workers)
PA / House Management duties (when children are not present):
Manage household schedules and appointments
Organise travel, flights, and errands
Liaise with suppliers, maintenance teams, and external contractors
Ensure both properties are well-stocked, orderly, and guest-ready
Provide general administrative support to the Principal
Candidate must be/have:
US Passport or Legal Right to Work in the U.S.
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally combining childcare and household support
Active, outdoorsy, and child-focused personality
A confident driver with valid driver’s licence
Discreet, trustworthy, and highly organised
Comfortable with dogs and occasional pet care
Experience in private households and travel logistics preferred
Accommodation
Private ensuite bedroom within the main house provided
Weekly Location Schedule
Monday: Quincy, Grant County
Tuesday: Yakima
Wednesday: Principal travels to Seattle to visit children (candidate remains in Yakima or Quincy)
Thursday: Based in either residence
Friday: Travel to Seattle (4pm) to collect children from school (every other week)
Saturday–Sunday: Family activities with children in Quincy/Yakima
Hours
Full-time / flexible to the family’s schedule.
Location

Salary
$80,000 gross per annum.
