SMR Maintenance Controller – Driving Service, Repair & Results

Location: Oldbury, residential working

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 with occasional Saturday working

If you’ve got automotive repair experience and thrive under pressure, this is your chance to play a pivotal role in minimising downtime and maximising customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do
Handle incoming service queries with clarity and technical confidence
Authorise repairs, manage costs, and push for compliance & efficiency
Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Sales, and Network teams
Influence process improvements and drive smart commercial decisions
Communicate service outcomes simply and effectively
Who You Are
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Experienced in service resolution and vehicle repair networks
A natural problem-solver and strong communicator
Able to analyse data, manage cost vs. margin, and adapt fast
Skilled in MS Office and confident navigating service legislation
