Service Charge Accountant

Full job description
A well respected and growing property business is looking for an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join their finance team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a respected business known for managing a diverse and high-profile UK property portfolio.

You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely service charge accounts across a varied commercial property portfolio. Working closely with property managers, surveyors, and internal finance teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring service charge budgets, reconciliations, and reporting are compliant, efficient, and client focused.

Ideally you will:

Have previous experience in a service charge accounting role is essential
Be confident working with high volumes of data and reconciling multiple accounts
Have excellent communication skills – able to liaise effectively with stakeholders across finance and property
Be proficient with Excel and property management systems
Be studying either AAT/ACCA/CIMA but not required
