Job title: Management Accountant

We’re a high-growth, £12m turnover recruitment business with ambitious plans to scale. With a strong market presence and a dynamic, fast-paced culture, we’re looking for a commercially focused Management Accountant to help steer financial decision-making and drive operational efficiency as we continue to expand.

This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a real impact. You’ll be responsible for producing timely and accurate management accounts, providing financial insights, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary
Ownership of month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital reporting
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles across multiple business units
Business partner with senior leaders to drive performance and profitability
Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes
Assist with year-end audit, statutory reporting and liaising with external auditors
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and integrity of accounts
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support strategic initiatives
Work closely with credit control, payroll, and accounts payable functions

Level of Qualifications

Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or finalist with strong commercial experience
Previous experience in a recruitment, professional services, or SME environment preferred
Solid understanding of management accounting principles and reporting
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, NetSuite)
Excellent communication and business partnering skills
Commercially aware, hands-on, and solutions-driven
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing priorities
