Job Overview:

We are a fast growing company seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in managing the financial records of our company. We are looking to formalise our accounting processes and protocols. We are looking for an energetic and proactive individual who will contribute to the rapid growth of the company by providing accurate and relevant financial information to assist the directors make informed decisions and help ensure compliance with government bodies and tax authorities.

This is a full time role based in Coatbridge with flexible working conditions.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

Basic accounting knowledge
Understanding accounting best practices
Data entry skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work on their own
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Produce work with a high level of accuracy
Professionalism and organization skills
Proficient with use of XERO
Understanding of Dext
At least 5 years’ experience
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
Update and maintain the general ledger
Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
Recording of debits and credits
Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
Ensure all work is properly prepared for invoicing
Prepare customer invoices and perform credit control role
Ensure all purchase invoices are correctly processed and detailed for payment
Record drivers time cards for review by directors prior to forwarding for payroll payments
Assist with payroll processing

Salary £13-£15 per hour dependant on experience
28 days annual leave

Pay: £13.00-£15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
