Summary
The Coppice School is a thriving school in South Ribble between Leyland and Preston. We have 66 pupils on roll aged between 2 - 19 years with severe and complex learning difficulties.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our happy and dedicated staff team. The interview will assess your suitability to work with children and include questions relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

This position is part-time and term-time only. Please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Desirable Qualifications
Relevant Child Care Qualification or Equivalent

Maths and English Level 2 or Equivalent


Essential Experience
Ability to relate well to children

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to organise classroom resources

Good communication skills (oral and written)

Desirable Experience
Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age

Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities

Basic knowledge of first aid

Ability to use relevant technology

Flexible attitude to work
