IT Support Engineer | Onsite in Tower Hill | Up to £32,000 + Travel Expenses
A well-established telecommunications firm based in Tower Hill, London is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for IT support and customer service to work in a varied, hands-on environment with international exposure.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to a diverse customer base via email, telephone, and chat tools. They will act as an escalation point for complex queries, manage IT support ticket queues, and occasionally work onsite at customer offices.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing hands-on PC, mobile phone, and initial setup support
• Windows server administration and general IT infrastructure maintenance
• Planning and implementing IT system changes and configurations
• Proof of concept and acceptance testing for new solutions
• Vendor management and negotiation
• Supporting project delivery schedules and service management
• Maintaining secure and efficient IT operations
There may be occasional requirements for international travel and out-of-hours emergency support.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server, MS Office, and antivirus software
• Good working knowledge of PC hardware, mobile phones, and SaaS platforms such as MS365
• Basic understanding of Active Directory (design and administration experience advantageous)
• Familiarity with public cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure) preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills in English (Japanese language skills advantageous but not essential)
• Good organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and positive approach to work
The Offer
• Up to £32,000 basic salary per annum
• 35-hour working week
• Full reimbursement of train travel expenses
