Our Client
An Italian-based manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), this company offers a wide range of high-quality power protection solutions from 400 VA to several megawatts. With operations in over 85 countries and a strong focus on innovation and reliability, its products are widely used in critical sectors like data centres, healthcare, finance, and telecommunications.
Overview
The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of standby generators through proactive maintenance, testing, and servicing. The position involves routine preventive tasks and emergency support, contributing to protecting critical power infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities And Activities Include
• Conduct monthly on-load testing and bi-annual comprehensive inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance, oil sampling, and component inspections.
• Provide 24/7 emergency response services based on SLA.
• Complete service reports, recommend remedial actions, and handle consumables and fluid top-ups.
• Conduct additional services such as load bank testing, remote monitoring, fuel polishing, and generator refurbishment.
• Work on various generator models and power ratings regardless of manufacturer.
• Coordinate generator maintenance with UPS systems to support the complete power infrastructure.
Education And Experience Requirements
• HNC/Technical qualifications in mechanical/electrical or a related field (ideal).
• Experience in generator maintenance and servicing.
• Familiarity with Diesel Generators, Deep Sea and ComAp systems is a strong advantage.
• Experienced in changing head gaskets and has worked on alternators.
• Ability to perform mechanical and electrical inspections.
• Familiarity with generator testing methods (load bank, oil sampling, etc.).
• Willingness to work on-call, including weekends and out-of-hours.
• Competence working across different generator models and environments.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Customer-focused with the ability to deliver tailored maintenance solutions.
