By joining our Administrative Services Branch as an Administrative Specialist in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to greet visitors to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Conference Center providing information to visitors, answering phones, preparing reports and contacting personnel within the agency. This is a permanent part-time position less than 100 hours per month.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Assists the public visiting the conference center and Transportation Cabinet Office Building.
Compiles and reviews reports regarding number of visitors, meetings, and maintains records.
Receives requests for meeting and drafts correspondence on behalf of manager.
Contacts personnel by phone, email or in person to resolve inconsistencies.
Schedules meetings requests as needed.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.


EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of professional, administrative, or business experience.


Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
