Job Description
The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) project will unlock the current capacity bottleneck on the South East Queensland rail network, enabling more frequent and reliable services between Brisbane, Logan, and the Gold Coast. As a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the project includes extensive track upgrades, nine new train stations, five level crossing removals, park 'n' ride enhancements, and new active travel pathways. This transformational project will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers, and businesses along the 20km corridor.
As the Principal Advisor (Property), you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of this high-profile program by leading complex land acquisition and property management activities across the LGC project corridor. You will provide expert advice on land tenure matters, proactively manage acquisition and disposal risks, and ensure compliance with legislative and policy frameworks. Your work will directly influence the project's ability to meet key milestones, manage stakeholder relationships, and optimise transport and land use
outcomes.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating the acquisition and disposal of land to support project delivery
- Providing high-level advice on land tenure, easements, reserves, and native title considerations
- Developing and implementing the project's residual land strategy in consultation with government agencies
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with property owners, internal stakeholders, local councils, and external consultants
- Supporting contract and stakeholder management related to complex property transactions
- Contributing to a high-performing, solutions-focused project team with a shared commitment to delivery
This is a unique opportunity to apply your property expertise on a once-in-ageneration transport infrastructure project, working in a collaborative, fast-paced delivery environment.
Some employment benefits:
- $130,407 - $139,830k superannuable salary
- 12.75% employer superannuation contributions
- salary packaging and novated lease options
- 20 days recreational leave per annum
- 10 days personal (sick) leave per annum
- other leave provisions for specific circumstances
- reimbursements for various health and wellbeing activities
- Employee Assistance Program access to coaching/counselling for support in all aspects of life
- based in Brisbane CBD with remote work options available
- a 36-hour 15 min standard work week with ability to accrue flex time
As the Principal Advisor (Property), you will be joining:
- a dynamic and diverse project team that supports one another
- a project where you will collaborate with multiple professionals and build your network
- a division that will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers and businesses
- an employer that values your talent, skills and knowledge and supports learning and development
- an organisation that connects Queensland through integrated transport systems.
