The Client Operations Manager plays a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of operational activities that support the full client lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding, across Canada’s media brands. This role is responsible for managing a team that delivers campaign coordination, budget management, reporting, and audit activities. The Client Operations Manager will drive process adherence, implement operational best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Accountabilities:
Maintains strong working relationships with key partners across all media brands in Canada
Manages the effective delivery of client financial tracking through consistent budget maintenance, reporting, and adherence to operational processes
Lead, develop, mentor, and motivate high performing team focused on day to day operational support across client end to end lifecycle.
Manages campaign timelines and deliverables in coordination with internal and external partners to ensure that appropriate materials are received and/or distributed correctly
Leads client transitions from onboarding through offboarding by coordinating team activities and ensuring accurate and timely execution
Partners with team members and leadership in implementing continuous improvement related to client and campaign delivery to make the process more effective for clients and businesses
Manages the client audit in collaboration with Finance teams to support client leadership
Contributes to the development and refinement of operational systems, processes, and business requirements to drive efficiency and client satisfaction
Identifies and escalates risks or process changes that may impact operational delivery or client experience
Manages performance reviews and goal setting process for direct reports and ensures process adherence for skip level reports
Coaches and develops team members to build operational capability, encourage growth, and support delivery excellence
Provides additional operational support as needed
Qualifications:
Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Finance, Business, or related field.
5+ years of relevant work experience in client services or media operations.
2+ years of experience in leading media operations functions.
Proven working experience in a media agency is required
Advanced knowledge of Excel required.
Experience with contract/audit compliance.
Knowledge and proven experience with finance, budgeting and cost control principles.
Previous experience with media systems such as MediaOcean
Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and best-in-class customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional information
The salary range for this position is $75k-$80k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
